The goal of this initiative that started in 2016 was to empower the women of Baakline and help them expose their home-made products to a bigger market, offering them an opportunity to be productive and to economically benefit from their work. In addition, Mortar baskets were crafted by individuals with special needs from the Mrs. Nora Joumblat’s National Rehabilitation and Development Center and fully sponsored by IAAF. All revenues and profits generated by the Christmas Basket sales were distributed to the PWDs Foundation and the hardworking Baakline women.
